I'm getting a noticable vibration / wobble in the steering wheel when I hit the brakes at 50-70mph. Seems to be coming from front end.

Just had brakes checked at decent mechanic and he said all pads and rotors look fine (not sure how he checked for warped rotors).

Does anyone know what's going on? Could rotors be warped? Bad CVs?

Thanks!

yes rotors. If you have a good amount of metal on them you may be able to just have them machined and save yourself some $$.

Before now, i would always agree and say rotors as well. But recent events have told me to have your tie rods checked as well. I experienced the same vibration problems and after I took the car in to have the breaks checked, i found that a tie rod was on the way out and caused the tires to wear unevenly. This in turn caused a slight vibration at higher speeds and a bad vibration when braking from those same speeds.
