My aunt is in the market for a new, car, and because of her past experiences she refuses to buy anything with a donut not a full size spare.

I will not be at peace if she winds up buying a camry when the 300 is right there.

Would it be feasible to get a full size spare installed in a 300 somehow?

I've actually had two 'full-size' 18" OEM '300C' tire/wheel assemblies sitting (stacked) inside my 300 Touring's trunk before; however, one will not even fit within the '300 series' spare tire compartment. You know, I can't even remember when I even had to utilize the spare tire from any of my numerous vehicles over the years...just lucky I guess.

I guess if she really felt that it was that important, she could always carry a 'full-size' spare inside the trunk, and still have some room left over for her groceries...it's definitely a large trunk. ;)

Get her the protection package, then she gets self sealing tires and she's all set. =)

That trunk compartment was never made to hold a full size spare, it's part of the rear 5 star crash design.. Also why the spare sits at an angle..

Exactly - Contiseals definitely work (pulled a 2 inch razor blade out of mine and it resealed immediately - no air pressure loss since), and you dont want to lose the inherent safety value of the spare tire rig/it becomes part of the the safety "cage".

If only they'd found better digs for the battery cubby. After a rear-end collision....even one that is repairable.....would you want to repair it after all of that battery acid has drenched everything?
