I'm taking a trip this weekend with my wife and my (our) ride:naughty: to Laughlin Nevada. If you have never heard of it, look it up on the Internet. It's like a mini Las Vegas and right on the Colorado River. I have always been a firm beliver of the "small world" factor and was wondering if anyone else is planning on being there. The wheather is perfect and the time is right. If, by chance there is anyone else, let me know and we'll have a beer or two, or sixteen together.:beerchug: :rocketwho

Ha, I had a feeling someone was going.

We are leaving Saturday morning. Staying at Harrahs, but do go over to Flamingo. I will look for you to say hi...I saw your photo with your awesome new car so kind of know what you look like.

Sounds good, I saw your pic in the Speedworld thread too, so I'll be on the lookout for your car, or you.
I'm mostly at VP near the front door at Flamingo, and we usually go to the brewery at the Colorado Belle on Saturday night.

We can play it by ear and throw it up to chance, or we can meet at the brewery for a beer Saturday night, say between 6 & 6:30...

The weather is perfect ...
For anyone who doesn't know that area that means it's not blazing hot yet. Laughlin NV / Bullhead City AZ are frequently the reported hottest (temperature) location in the United States. That would make them hotter than Death Valley, yep.

Let's put it this way. If I were going there during the summer, I would make very sure I had modded my engine thermostat!

My youngest son and his family live in Bullhead, so we go all the time.
Never a problem with overheating, at least not the cars.... meee and a few video poker machines have overheated a few times though

I bet I know what the deal is with you guys going away. It's President's Day weekend isn't it? I seem to remember, while patiently waiting for my car this time last year some thought we had a holiday here too. No such luck. Have fun.

That is too funny about going to Colorado Belle, I was thinking of the same thing, meeting there, the beer there is awesome. Okay HEMEE, if you check back in you'll know I'm going to see you probably Saturday night.

BTW- I too (and wife) love video poker and will try to overheat a machine:)

Safe trip now kids:22:

Damn I wish I had picked up on this thread earlier.

My wife and I are regular visitors to Laughlin. What a great place being so cheap to stay, eat & drink, and they are car/bike mad. Roddin' on the River, River Cruizes, Bike Mardi Gras and there are probably other shows I don't even know about.

Hey, a must do if you are in Laughlin is visit Oatman on the old route 66. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour to drive there but it is a great place. Donkeys wander around on the main street and the souvenirs shopping is good too.

Enjoy your weekend/s.

What kind of gas consumption do you get on your trip from Melbourne to Laughlin? By the way I agree Oatman is GREAT! Have you been in the mine on the old 66 road north of Oatman? BobF.

Successful trip.:arms:

Not only was the Laughlin trip was an absolute blast, but we got to meet some of the nicest people around, HEMEE and HUBEE. Saturday night my wife and I were enjoying some micro brew beer while throwing some money away, and in came these wonderful people from the Forum. We sat and had frosty beverages and talked about everything under the stars, and some other things too.:popworm:

For the rest of the Forum members, if you ever get a chance to meet these guys you will not regret it. So here’s to you HEMEE and HUBEE :beerchug: and thanks for making an effort to meet us.

PS – I would have posted photos on this thread, but some A** H*le stole my camera at the casino. Oh well, karma on them now. :rippedhan

Hi Moose, Sorry I'm a little late here been kinda busy, which I know YOU understand! It was so much fun meeting you and the Missus too and thanks for the sweet words. It's always fun to be able to get to know the real people behind the words on the screen. We both truly enjoyed your company and look forward to seeing you again, either at a meet or in Laughlin again; we're there every few months to visit the grandkids... and our money :puppy_dog

Thought you might like to see a few pics since you didn't get to see the car when we were at the microbrewery; the first 2 are at your hotel, the last is at the Saloon on the hill.

The photos are fantastic...if only my camera didn't come up missing, those are the kind of shots that I wanted to take of the Beast.

Hemeee, the car looks awesome! I bet that was a fun ride back:drive:

Take care, say hi to Hubeee for us and hope to see you guys soon.

Moose.
