Dom-Do you think you could include the FM modulator on this group buy? If not how much additional would that be? I think the who conversion seems a lil obsolete without being able to hear it through your factory sound system.

Same here, but I am considering whether I need this thing.

How do you use this feature?
I am not going to watch any movies while driving and drive most of the time alone. If I have a passenger I would rather talk to them.

This price doesn't include installation. This is for the module only plus the directions. Soldering and removal of the head unit are a must. It is not something you want to learn how to solder on. Dom does offer the installation at a higher price. I believe it was $450 retail so i don't know if he is doing a group buy on the install. He should be by soon to clarify.

What about warranty on the nav unit itself? If it requires any soldering of the unit itself that will clearly void the warranty. My concern is that I've already had to get my nav unit replaced because the zoom knob wouldn't click anymore. I'd hate to have something petty like that happened again and then get told I'm not covered because of any alterations.

I understand your concern, all I can say is that I have removed mods from radios and sent them thru warranty and haven't had any problems. No one is going to open the radio to see if anything was done. When I remove the mod the radio is factory clean and original so you can't see anything was done to it.

I'm very interested however will this play all dvd's and also someone mention about fm modulator so it can heard through current system is that available.
Last question, has anyone did a count or have a number of members very interested in buying?

Dom, I am also interested in this product, however my interest is primarily for use with a backup camera. I did a quick search on the web for backup cameras and there are a slew to choose from; far to many for me to evaluate in a reasonable amount of time. Is there a particular unit that you could recommend / sell for use with your mod?

Also, is there a possibility of see in advance the instructions? This way we can determine whether or not we are comfortable performing the upgrade or sending it in to you. I've already pulled my unit out of the dash before and that was relatively easy, be curious to see the rest of the steps involved.

I too would be very very interested in seeing these. I doubt I'd touch it, but I work with an electrical engineer who is excellent in the art of soldering! :banana:
