GS Motorsports is proud to announce that we have completed some key modifications for the LX platform 5.7 and 6.1

Race ESP Mod:

Completely deletes Traction control(esp) and Torque management on shifts points. This mod is worth nearly a 1/2 second in the 1/4 mile on the stock lx platform with No Codes..no more pause between shifts and no traction hold back from the ECU at the flip of a switch.!

Fan Control:

This mod Brings the fans on early keeping max temps on the motor down 10% or on the the 195 degree thermostat at crusing speed( no codes)

These mods will be aviaible from GS Motorsports as a complete package with as a pre made turn key modification with instructions for an easy install on any 5.7 0r 6.1 LX platform

website???

I am unable to find anything about the 6.1L headers or this mod on their website.

Has anyone else found it?

GSM, is it posted on the site yet?

Definately interested in both.

-Nevermore

edit: nevermind - topic posted in multiple forums - answers are in other forum. Also in the lxforums.com site.

1/2 second gain is far feteched.

Maybe for someone who hasn't done the TSB shift hesitation yet, but not for anyone already running ~13.2's.

Still worth it depending on price just for the luxury of driving your own can instead of the computer doing it for you.

Can you explain the "TSB shift hesitation"??
Is there something here I'm unaware of??

Thanks for explaining

What exactly does a "seamless and undetectable" mod mean? Is it a new program, a chip, or what??

Sorry if I'm asking a dumbass question...........ain't the first.

You guys are being unfair to Scott. Give him a little breathing room. He just developed it and posted. I for one am glad we have people like Scott working on go fast items. People like Scott don't do this kind of work, just for the money. Most of them are just as excited about making cars go fast as we are. My guess is, that its a chip of some sort, and I believe I saw on the other forum that the price was $200. I could be wrong on both counts. GSM and Hennessey are the only ones doing work on the engines that I know of, and if we don't give them a little slack they will pack up and go elsewhere with their expertise and I don't want to see that. Cecil......... :eek:uch:

Cecil,

I don't think anyone is asking any questions that are unfair in any sense, in fact, GSM's lack of information is what is not fair here. They (a supporting vendor, who I will gladly support) are posting they have a product for a great price, that will deliver great results!! GREAT, I'm IN!!! SIGN ME UP!! ....But for what?!?!?! Are you going to buy something you know nothing about? Not on my my ride..sorry.

What is not known, is how it's installed, what it is, or how it works, all pretty important info if you ask me when I'm dealing with about 10k for engine/trans replacment....For all we know, it's a resistor at this point (I'm sure it's not, but hopefully that makes my point).

Before I purchase a performance product of any kind, I need to know more than just "it's seemless and undectable". IMO - it's a "coy" post, and it was designed to play with our 300C and SRT8 emotions...NOT a good marketing or sales tactic if you ask me.

Like I said in my other post - GSM, give us some details and not propaganda, once you do, your phones will be ringing off the hook if it's the real deal!! Until then, the more time you spend NOT answering questions and avoiding this subject, the more and more skeptical we become...and unwilling to buy in the future.

Hey, my wallet is open and waiting for some more info...and I LOVE to write checks.

I agree. I'm ready to buy but I want to do business with professionals. Scott's answer to my legitimate question was not, in my opinion, professional much less helpful. Had this been the first time this vendor had done this I would have figured it was maybe a fluke. But this same thing happened last time too. Seems like a misguided marketing tactic. I'm glad that some vendors are pioneering mods for the SRT8 but not so glad as to hand over my cash and my car's mechanical integrity to just any old person with something to sell. I'm wondering if there are guidlines for supporting vendors on this forum? Maybe there should be.

I've found this with many forum vendors. If you ask five reasonable questions, they answer two or three. I always wonder what they are hiding by not answering in full.

Not confidence inspiring!

Thing that amazes me, is if it is real - there should be no hiding anything, not even from "the competition"....they are losing sales by the minute by not answering legitimate questions.
And if it's the competition they are worried about finding out what it is - anyone can buy it, right?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the all the response's good and bad, we are not trying to hide anything that will benifit the Hemi platform. I am limited on the time I have right now and my forum time is regulated to evenings....so I posted the mod last night and I am back again tonight to answer some of the questions.

#1 This is a very specific mod and only affects the intended items with a caculated result

Benifits

1. No Torque management ( exact shifts no lag or delay)
2. No Traction control (100% freedom to Fry the tires or uninterrupted accelatration)
3. Low temp fan control for a much cooler running temp yeilding much better overall performance

The kit is a pre made kit that you can install in your driveway in about 1/2 an hour and will result in you having the options mentioned on the fly via 2 small switches in a descrete location with in reach.

we have 40 kits ready to ship on Tuesday 9/6 and a good portion of those are all ready sold, please feel free to use our toll free # and ask any questions you might have

When we started modifing the late model dodge's in 1998 the Torque management started to become an issue, as things progressed so did the road blocks on performance... The passion drives what we do.

We will be at the shop the entire holiday weekend and anyone is welcome to come on over and take a first hand test drive .

Thank you,

Scott Quaranta

I never said that the questions are unfair or that you don't have a right to ask. If you have questions, you should ask. I'm just saying that we should give any vendor that posts a new product, more time to answer. Cecil...........
