Just got some preliminary numbers on the mule today. Just swapped heads to ported and polished ones with a baseline of 440 to the tire idle quality is great. Next is a custom cam swap should be able to get a lot more.500 to the tire? Quite possible..............

Awesome, it is good to see someone going this route too. I'd love to this combo produce 500+ rwhp. I would adopt this into my setup..

I would say no way if it were a 5.7 with p&p heads only (and there are some guys out there that can do magic with heads), however...It think it will take heads, cam, intake and full exhaust along with a cracked code and a programmer to reach those numbers.

Here are the details on the car........srt8 magnum with ported heads, Hennessey cold air induction, headers, cats, 1st resonator delete, and STOCK cam. We wanted to see just how good the stock cam would preform and from the testing it is a nice grind but our custom grind will for sure pick it up a lot more. The car made 368 bone stock and 390 prior to the head swap. We also have a set of heads that flow 20 cfm more than what is on this car now. I will post up the dyno sheets later. Anyone interested can contact Hennessey Performance 281-346-1370

The new CNC heads that Hennessey is using are incredible heads. The company that does them is doing the 6.1L and 5.7L Hemi heads and the results are VERY impressive......

Turns out that they solved the oil burning issue at startup as well :D Guess I can have cake and eat it too :D :D

I'll post my dyno runs once I get them done. I have the before dyno done and I am waiting to finish up the mods to run the after dyno. The intake is the last item for the swap at this point. I am going to leave it to Hennessey or the customers to post more specifics on the heads. The shop is a bit quiet in what they do(I think they are heavy into NASCAR and other racing stuff), as I wasn't even able to drop the heads off personally....They are less than 30 minutes from my house, though.....They don't allow 'general' visitors.

I have been busy getting a little side business going, so I apologize for not being up and on this like I typically would be. As you may remember, I am a stay at home dad and my wife has the job...........but I found something to do out of the house that helps my mod fund :D People certainly like clean cars around here.....

I'm curious Hod Rod and WD, why no questions regarding the AF ratios or running lean? This seemed to be quite a concern before and warranted many posts. Is there something special about this porting as compared to others that has you convinced that this will not be an issue? Help me out here if you would. Thanks in advance.

Actually Doyle, thats why I havent bought any heads yet. Noone has shown any gains that convinces me that the PCM DOES correct the A/F ratio. Im wanting someone to post before and after timeslips so everyone can see this 50+RWHP gain. The MPH would clearly show that. Thats why I asked for it.:)
