The HID lights are those for low beam only or are they Low and High Beam. If not for both what type of blub is used. Also what blub fits the fog lamp. I just think it looks bad when you have this HID light then you have a nasty yellow light as a fog light right below it. I would want to replace this fog lamp at least and if the high beam is not HID would like to do the same. Thanks for any help

what blubs are reccommended to fit headlamps and foglamps open to any suggestions that would make these halogen blubs look more like and match HID lights.

I recently purchased slyvania silver star bulbs for my low beams, high beams and turn signal and found that all three did not fit correctly. It seems that on the bulb assembly each have a very small tab that is needed to lock the bulb in place. All the different bulbs assembly little tabs are centered, rather than the stock bulbs tabs seems to be offset a bit. I went to one custom shop and two different Pepboys and came to the same conclusion on all three bulbs set at all three stores. I believe that kev55 described in a thread that he had installed these bulbs but unless he had special ordered them, all retail stores bulbs seem to come the same. It may be because these bulbs are different for 2005 cars or he forced them in somehow.

In conclusion, if anyone has purchased slyvania silver star bulbs, 9006 (low beam), 9006 (high beam), and 3057(turn lamp) please help!!!!

I did silverstars for low (projector) and high beams in my 300C. Not a problem except you need to remove the airbox to get at the drivers side bulbs. Work just great. They were "normal" and just slipped into place, like the stock bulbs. Kinda rotated to fit in as I recall.

Scar,

HID involves much more than just bulbs; there is a high-voltage power supply that needs to be wired in. Silverstars are just a fancier model of halogen bulbs, same wattage as stock but supposed to be somewhat brighter and whiter. Sylvania also has a "blue" halogen drop-in that is not any brighter than stock but gives the "look" of HID.
