I am hoping that someone can assist me in starting my car. I hav ehad the car for 3 months and no problems with starting. Hopped in tonight, put key in and turned and nothing. Key will operate locks. I also tried my remote start and it started the car but when I inserted key it shut down. Then I attempted it again and the car will not remote start at all now. I dont have my owners manual and away from home. I was thinking that it might have something to do with the alarm, but could not figure it out.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I just looked at the owners manual. Try holding the pedal to the floor while starting the car.

If Engine Fails to Start
If the engine fails to start after you have followed the
“NORMAL STARTING” procedure, it may be flooded.
Push the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor and
hold it there while cranking the engine. This should clear
any excess fuel in case the engine is flooded.

CAUTION!
To prevent damage to the starter, do not crank the
engine for more than 15 seconds at a time. Wait 10 to
15 seconds before trying again.

If the engine has been flooded, it may start to run, but not
have enough power to continue running when the key is
released. If this occurs, continue cranking up to 15
seconds with the accelerator pedal pushed all the way to
the floor. Release the accelerator pedal and the key once
the engine is running smoothly. Do not overspeed engine.
If the engine shows no sign of starting after two 15
second periods of cranking with the accelerator pedal
held to the floor, the “NORMAL STARTING” procedure
should be repeated.

Thanks for the help. As it turned out the tow truck came and was unable to move car because he could not get it out of park. He began just trying to reset alarm and after 10-15 lock unlocks it started. I rolled the dice and made the mad dash to my dealer @45 miles away. I made it there but when i went to take tech on test ride it wouldnt start again. In the end it had nothing to do with the alarm, they need to replace an anode that recog my key. A hit or miss type problem. Kind of bummed because car has already had problems with:
Uconnect
Nav (which were corrected by myself due to the fantastic info avail on this site)
Rainsensing wipers/auto lights
Noisey rough drivetrain
Oil change required before 3000miles
Thanks again
