So I'm aware that to access the EVIC menu you hold down the music note button along with the map button for roughly 5 seconds. From what I've been seeing and hearing, other 300 owners have more and different options in this menu. Specifically I'm wondering how you get to the enlarged speedometer menu. I scrolled through all the menus using the up and down arrows, and there's nothing. The only type of speedometer menu I have is a small one which also has the RPM, engine temp, etc. I have a 2005 300c if that changes anything. Thanks!

Normally that is the default display but I know different software versions (yours being an early one) do have different displays.

What do you normally see as a default display?

My default display is the submenu thats shows the very small digital speedometer, engine temp, engine rpms, and a couple other things I can't remember. Thanks

Different years have different functions. Not sure you have a large spedo on the 05s. I have an 06 and have it but I don't have the 0-60 timer which is on the 07s. It's not a matter of a software update either, the different years are what they are reguardless of a software flash.

Do you have steering wheel controls? If so, try this:

Push and hold the music note button and the compass button at the same time. Hold until the EVIC menu changes.

Use your arrow up button on the steering wheel controls and scroll through the different displays. There are two different speedo displays on my software version. One is speedo with engine temp, RPM & system amps. The next one is the larger speedo only digital display.

If you don't have steering wheel buttons, I have no idea how to get you to this menu.

Very strange... the three guys I know with 05's don't have this program. I wonder if it has something to do with the date they were made or even where.

I've got an '08 and I can bring up the menu (like I did in my '06) and can display the speedometer function, but for whatever reason, the speedometer never registers any speed...stays at 0. ANY IDEAS? (The analog speedometer works fine.)

Also, I noted a "0-60 TIME" function...how do I utilize that?

Hi, I don't know why your digital speedometer isn't working, but the 0 - 60 timer, just pull up on an empty road, once stationary, stand on the loud pedal, once you hit 60 it records your time.

Although just thought, I wonder if that works properly if your digital speedo doesn't.

Hi JRMedved,

I would recommend visiting your local dealership for a diagnosis. I would be happy to follow up with them for you, just send a PM to our page and let me know!
