The 1940 hood ornament strikes me as most "correct" - simple, yet conveys great strength and a sense of motion. Still, if you really want a custom touch, check out the Bentley versions attached.

In keeping with the retro styling of the 300.
I am considering adding one of these 24" Chrysler chrome antique ornaments to my mod build up.
Any opinions?
Thanks, Tom.

I am too paranoid about my car to add a roof ornament. The C is already an attention getter and adding an roof ornament would just invite vandals and/or souvenir collectors.

I can understand why some of you may be hesitant to add on pieces, which may attract the wrong element like THIEVES.
My interests are to mod the car to my taste and enjoy the process and gratification I receive from it.
I try not to let paranoia govern my choices.
Although I do appreciate your input guys!

The new Rolls Royce Hood ornament retracts into the grill shell when parked for a reason. Unfortunately, you'll quickly find out why they chose such a design with a $300 hood emblem on your 300c. And you'll have trouble finding a decent 30s or 40s Chrysler ornament in decent shape or restored below $300.

Hood ornaments faded from popularity for a reason...

Ya, finding one in perfect shape would be a challenge but rechroming is no problem.
The one I am interested is low profile almost two feet in length.
The As_____e who really wants to rip it off would probably have to take the whole car because it would be difficult to remove with out mangling the hood and the ornament, but I agree they might try.
