Only precaution I can tell you when removing any type of bulb is to make sure that they weren't turned on prior to removing them unless you want to burn your fingers since they can get pretty hot.Reviving an old discussion here: the owners manual mentions high voltage for the HID bulbs. What special precautions does one need to take when replacing a stock HID bulb with a new one?
Replacing the bulb in my 2005 300C. Haven't done it yet but my mechanic said to disconnect the battery before replacing the bulb. He stated that there's a 2000v charge and it only takes 1000v to kill you(better safe than sorry). Also wear latex gloves and try not to touch the bulb as oils from fingers damage the lens. Going to try this weekend good luckReviving an old discussion here: the owners manual mentions high voltage for the HID bulbs.
