Hey y'all-

As mentioned before I'm changing everything in my car audio system except the deck.

Right now they have me scheduled for MB Quart QSD 6.5 components up front and MB Quart 6x9's for the rear. Two JL Audi 12w6V2's in the trunk. JL 300/4 for the inside and JL 500/1 for the woofers. This is all coming from the stock deck and through a JL Audio Cleansweep.

I've allready talked my myself into the MB Quart QSD Components for the front so now I'm wondering what to do for the rear.

Is it a waste to put the MB Quart QSD components in the rear also? It just seems like it's a shame to have such nice speakers up front and then go with 6x9's in the rear.

The money is not an issue, I'm just wondering if people sitting in the back seat are going to be hearing something completely different than what the front seat passengers are hearing.

Thanks for your input!

BTW- The cleansweep has an auxillary input so I can hook up an Ipod (if I ever get one, lol). I'll get a cord running into the cabin in case my friends wat to hook up their Ipods.
YES upgrade the rear also!!!! You and your back seaters will be able to tell!!

You are going to love your new system. Finished mine today. Clean sweep, JL 300.4 and 500.1, all JL components and a JL 10-inch M10IB5 infinite-baffle sub in the rear deck. SWEET SOUND

jl ib

i usually dont upgrade the rears to the same level as the front. since i prefer the staging to be front biased, i usually try to get some decent speakers in the rear, and nicer ones up front. maybe because im a cheapskate too,.

yeah thats probably it. always sounds nice to me, and i dont care what the people in the back seat think. its for me anyways. hehehehe

anyways, question for the guy who used the new jl marine speaker. i read some of the writeups on this new woofer and it sounds like something i would be interested in. where did the subwoofer get installed to? factory location?

do you have any pics?

thanks in advance.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I will get some pictures today and post them.
I REALLY like the sub it hits nice and low. Now have said that, if you are into allot of bass it might not be for you, but it does rattle you pretty good.
I did install it in the stock location in the rear deck.

And to answer the other question, yes I am still running the stock deck. Running the Clean Sweep you would NEVER know. There is ZERO drop off in the sound at higher volume. And yes the clean sweeps are out in shops now. retail should be in the $320ish mark.
