I'd love some 20s for mine, but darned few of the wheel sites post weights and I won't put anything on that's markedly heavier than stock. Wheel weight seems such a basic must-have item that I automatically do not trust any site that doesn't post it - I figure they are in it for the money only, not trying to give a quality ride.

Buy Wheels Today, that was a bit of hyperbole, but you get the point - I'd really like to know what a wheel weighs. It's not hard to chuck one on a scale. There is even a site that lists weights of wheels, but it is a volunteer effort and has little information on wheels in the sizes we're interested in. I realize the weight is often inversely proportional to cost (darn it!) and that buying a light set of wheels will set me back more.

i dont really think there is a conscious conpiracy in the wheel world to limit the consumers knowledge of wheel weight. i think its more that wheel weight is pretty imnprtant for the 300 owner going 4 inches over the stock rim, so we need that info more then most. that being said, i think a wheel site that went thru the trouble to begin to categorize their wheels by weight would go a long way in earning mine and others business. its a factor i always want to know, but its tough to find out sitting at your computer.

No Wheel Depression here

I just received my rims on Friday from Buy wheels today, and I put them on Saturday. I could have gotten them locally but I would of had to wait about a month or so. By the way I got the TIS 07 22" rims. As you can probably tell I didn't care much about the weight.

Here you go! Rims and tires were installed on 8/16/05. Now, I need to find a buyer for the Conti's with 9,350 miles on them.

Seems to me it might be akin to the seemingly passing fad of grills...for a while, it is a hot, hot topic until it tends to get a bit overdone and the stock look actually turns out to be more 'unique'. All things have their 'time' and then the hoopla dies down a bit.

For this car, I am personally glad some of the trends we have seen are on their way down and/or out.
