I was thinking about the MDS system and obviously there is a "switch" that turns the system on/off. What is we could tap into the switch and actually control when the system turns on/off? Could create some VERY nice gas mileage and at the flip of a switch instant guzzler..... Just a thought.

I read a while ago that after 6 minutes in 4 cylinder mode, it will switch to 8 cylinder mode to keep those cylinders from cooling down too much. I believe the car also periodlically fires the deactiviated cylinders like once every few seconds to clear them out. So I wouldn't recommend you hook up a switch. This info came from

Ah, makes sense from the design. It could be a new way to save fuel if designed appropriatly.
