Hey John, your favorite SRT8 member here....I saw a picture of a certain SRT8 you have in your shop and I have to ask about it.....That incredible looking, fully polished thing you have sitting on top of that motor, are you going to offer it as a seperate part? I would like a polished one like it and I will send you mine if you can turn it around fairly quick.

I didn't PM you because I am betting there are a lot of members on here that would step up for it as well......I wanted to get some curiosity up and see if we can get you to cave on peer pressure alone. :wink1:

Please post a picture for us to drool on!!

The chrome intake manifold looks really nice. Right now we offer it to customers who have their cars in our shop for upgrades. We do have a core unit in stock that we use to swap out. But right now I cant afford to offer it on a mail order basis as it could slow down SRT8 projects in the shop.

Its not cheap either. The intake has to be fully polished first before it gets chromed. We could offer it in polished, but the chrome looks 10 times better in my opinion. It also goes really well with our polished ram air kit and red valve covers.

Anyway, thanks for asking. The best way to get a chrome intake from us is to do it as part of a package of other upgrades while your SRT8 is in our shop.

Needless to say anyone can chrome their own intake manifold if you dont mind the down time, etc.

I will try to put some pics up later. Maybe Bo or Dave can post the shots they took a few days ago. I think I saw one on the LX forum.

As an FYI Todd, Street and Performance in Meana ARK does and does it quickly. Chrome or polish, Ask for Mark Campbell he owns the place.

Well, thanks for the info John. I had talked to a local polishing shop about polishing it right after my trip to California. Richard, John K, and John(FatChance) all commented on how a polished intake might look good on these things.

I didn't realize you guys took the extra step of chroming it. I thought it was polished. It looks awesome in the picture I saw!!

The is no 600 Stroker kit. I need to change that. It was wishful thinking after I got beat down by a 540 rwhp fbody. I've had a few questions about this so it may be something John wants to consider.

My intake has a slight scuff on the top of one of the intake runners.
Gee -- maybe i could suggest a chromed replacement as a warranty claim......

seriously -- that looks outstanding. John -- you need a Hennessey logo on the valve cover. Looks great man.

Well, he's got a 550 Hemi upgrade. That should make your beast a screamer. 4.1 seconds is fast.

I'd venture a guess that some reputable shop WOULD develop a custom supercharger for it too. The potential is 1000+ HP. Or a twin turbo system.. The compression ratio is low enough to futs around with the engine. The problem with custom jobs is down-time.. You could be out of the car for months of testing.

I knew you guys would like the picture!! That intake looks awesome and now that I look at it again, it does show that it is chrome. Even a very good polisher would have a problem getting it that perfect.
