L.E.D. Tail Lights / Brake Lights

I have been looking a very long time for a L.E.D. brakelight/tail light for our 300C's. I looked at Spiderlites, looks pretty good, kinda pricey at $50 each.
I found
http://www.superlumination.com/ ,they have several LED's for our cars ( Tail light Part Number 3157 ). I looked at them all,and chose the "Tower" LED bulb-$20.00 each. Very well designed ( In My Personal Opinion ),plenty of "running" light ,and when you step on the brakes..."BAM !!!" There's no mistaking that this car IS stopping. I don't have any pictures of what they look like in use. You'll just have to take a look, see if you are interested, and go from there. I am just passing on something that I think you may like to see.
Again,Just My Own Personal Opinion

I did the brakes only, the bulbs look clear, but are Red,.
Darkened rear lenses?

These beauties should be mandatory equipment for those forum mates who have darkened their rear lenses.

Any electrical changes required for the LED's (resistor)?

Is red necessary since the tail light lenses are red?

Thanks for the information and link.

Dunno about the resistor. But, if you're thinking of using white in the taillights, there's no reason to spend extra over the reds, since the reds appear clear when off. Also, you will have much less brightness since whites are less efficient than "pure" colors like red and amber.
I believe that the resistors are only neccessary if you intend to use as a turn signals. I have bought from superlumination in the past, and they answered all of my questions via emails. They will not try to sell you stuff you don;t need. Just email them with your needs and desired locations/uses of the bulbs, and they will tell you what you need.

I've installed them about six months ago in my C, works great...
Make sure you get the RED instead of the White bulb. Remember LEd project lights differently than incandescent bulb.

IMO, this product worth every penny.

Salut,
LeHemi
I agree, worth every penny, just put mine in tonight and I love them. In true LED fashion they illuminate faster and appear richer in color. They are not quite as sweet as an Infiniti but way better than stock.
You are right D3, I'll get some pics up later today, why are you mad about your Eibach springs?

Sheesh Stan, just don't do a 'mod' this week and buy a camera instead.

BTW, thanks for the info regarding these lights, as I'll probably be getting them myself as well. Do you recommend the clear or the red ones, and the ones which have side lighting or just face rearward...thanks? :fing02:
Mine will be here Thursday, I will shoot them Thursday night and post for everyone.
If the part number is 3157, how come the manual says 3057?

Just wanted to clarify before ordering.
Me too,.....

I have the rear lenses tinted...so i think i'm going with these as well....

My understanding is the red ones are better...but need confirmation on the part #....
