I have an awesome sounding system 2 Alpine Type R 12s on a MB Quart 1000x1 amp and it hits pretty hard but yesterday just messing around, I played it with the backseat down and it POUNDED almost twice as loud. Tweeter (who installed the stereo) told me that the back seats were pretty solid and it didnt allow a lot of sound through. Has anyone put "port holes" in their back seat or anywhere to let a little more bass through?? Im sure you all know who it is also, it sounds good, but it can always sound better!!

If you have SG II take out the factory sub and cut a hole in the decklid from the bottom, the top side should have a grill in the rear decklid, works great for me.

Yeah, try what Aspendog suggests, it may not get as loud as having the seats down, but it will be an improvement. That's the one thing I had to remember when selecting subs for my Magnum. Since it's unrestricted, I can get away with less sub and still get skull-fracturing bass. It's my first wagon, but every sedan prior I have had a port into the cabin. My favorite was my old Volvo. I replaced the rear-seat armrest with matching fabric - allowing a acoustically invisible 10"x6" port into the trunk.

There's nothing lowly about your car. Like James said take a look back there. Even on the Touring i bet the Metal is cut out. All you should have to do is cut the package shelf.

Yes. I dont know if on the T there is a cover over it or not, but on the C there is a felt cardboard liner.Pull it down you can see if there is a hole. If so take out the side bulsters by the seats and then pop out the rear shelf. you should then be able to do what you want. You might have to take out the rear pillers too. It all just pops out.
