for people who are strickly concerned with track times.
I read somewhere that every 100LB that you are able to knock off is around a tenth on a 1/4 mile...? is that true? and is that even worth trying. obvious way to achieve knocking weight off is carbon
I'm not really concerned with times but was just curious on that route if i ever were to be.
thanks for any input

take out the rear seats! :fing02:

take out the passenger seat! :fing02:

chop off the hood! :fing02:

take off all resonators/mufflers! :fing02:

that should knock off AT LEAST 350 lbs, no?

yeah i know you can do that stuff lol. i was actually more curious about the 100lb=1 tenth and even doing that stuff to get 350 is that worth it too even?

Not sure about track times, but I think this calculation is plausible.

100lbs/4,066lbs = 0.0246% x 340hp = 8hp gain.
100lbs/4,066lbs = 0.0246% x 390lbs torque = 10lb torque gain.

8hp, or 10lbs torque, just might gain 1/10.
