i got the gorrila lugs everyone is saying will work but the tapered area where they seat is smaller will these still safely work on my factory srt rims

NO! I've tried 3 different sets of lug nuts, but can't find any with the same diameter as the stockers. I was told by 2 different wheel shops not to use the smaller lugs, as they are not safe.

Those shops must be on crack. You will be fine with the acorn style of lug nuts.

I guess I am not the only one with ruined lug nuts!

After the first few were ruined, I demand that the shops removing my wheels, for whatever reason, use a 21mm socket, short extension and a breaker bar to loosen each lug nut BEFORE using air. Now I don't have any more ruined lug nuts! I also demand each wheel be torqued to 100 lb/in, BY HAND, not with the so-called air wrench torque wrenches.

These simple precautions will prevent future damage to our $6.00 lug nuts.
