Well, I did it. Couldn't resist any longer.

Ordered a SRT8 with both SRT 1 & 2 Option Paks, plus the Boston Acoustics System Upgrade and the Moonroof. In short, the whole enchillada.

It's in Black, in case you're curious. Color is always the toughest choice for me in picking a car, and, this is my first black automobile. I've always shied away from them due to the upkeep.

Going to put a Clear 3M Bra on her, anybody have a heads up on whether this is available yet?

I think waht finally put me over the edge is when the 300C won the North American Auto Show Award yesterday.

I figured, what am I waiting for?

dealer says I'm First in line...

Regards to All;

Ordered it just yesterday, January 29,

They haven't given me a firm delivery date yet.

Any Ideas?

'06? If so, any price increase over the '05? Gas guzzler tax? Delivery..I have no clue. RT4 could probably jump in and help on a guesstimate.

Thanks..

Decided to get one at the LA Auto show, talked to my dealer and got one ordered. Going for Brilliant Black w/ all the options. Ordered Vanity plates,

" 61L HEMI " on the California coastal plate. Will probably have the plates long before the car gets here! Just have to figure out how to get all of the cars in my garage!

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but vanity plates in CA (and most states) have a yearly fee.. I forget what it is but its somewhere like $25-$45 ... once I found that out, that it wasn't just the one-time fee, no silly quote I could fit into 7 letters seemed worth a yearly fee.
You're worried about a $25 a year fee? That's like 5 trips to starbucks in a year.

Asa far as avoiding "crazy markups", I just shopped around, and, took the attitude that if you didn't need to sell me the car at List, then, I really didn't need the car...

It works, on the dealer who will work with you...
