Just had the MAGNAFLOW quad-tip exhaust system install on my 300... and to be honest --- its been a bit annoying... hopefully I will get used to it, but...
Anyway, the system does look absolutely fantastic (those chrome quad-tips really set it off)... the 'problem' is that annoying droning resonance. In town Ive noticed it rather more than I did on the couple of short highway spins Ive made since installation. Im taking the car on a 4-hour ride next week and kinda dreading that drone!! Any suggestions for sound deadning/proofing or suppression?

Also, the "voice" on my nav system seems a bit quiet (existed prior to Magnaflow)... how can I increase her vocal volume?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer...

I've adjusted the volumn by when she is talking I turn the knob up on the radio. It doesn't seem to work if you use the finger tip controls on the wheel. And it only seems to work when she is talking. That is what I do- hope that helps.

You can go into the settings when parked on the Nav and adjust the volume. The volume color will be be blue for Nav instead of the normal white when using the radio. The drone took me a couple of weeks to get used to. Now I look forward to it mostly. It does have that, here I come growl to it, but not so bad it causes a headache. Some people never settle in though and want to switch back. It's a personal thing.

Thanks...!!!

Thanks for the tip on the NAV volume... its fine now!

Any additional info on sound-proofing the exhaust resonance will be greatly appreciated! Someone suggested Dynamat Xtreme or Dead Skin spray...
Your thoughts...???

Howdy out there in "Cowtown"..( Lived out that way
for several years).
Do you have a picture of the Quad Exhaust Tips ?
I am considering changing mine to Quad, but am concerned with the
"look / fit "( 2 smaller tips where 1 larger one goes ;you know,
lower fascia has a cutout for exhaust tip). Hope you get my drift.
Thanks..
