so this morning when i was leaving for work, i turned the corner off of my street, didnt come to a complete stop, but kinda close, but when i started to hit the accelerator, nothing happened, wouldnt go forward. sounded like only the gas was flowing, i put it in park, and went back to drive, again nothing, i check the emergecny brake, wasnt on, i put it in reverse and it wouldnt reverse either, so i turned the car off and then on again and everything was fine. made my 30 minute drive to work with no problems.

anyone know what that was?

oh yeah, the engine light came on for about 20 seconds

Was it a left hand turn?

My car did the same exact thing three times. Each time it was a left hand turn. There was a thump in the transmission and no throttle response. I had my seal fixed a few months ago and it hasn't happened since.
