I am currently in the process of rebuilding my 5.7 and adding some performance. I am going to be putting a new cam, a tune, and some fuel upgrades. I'm assuming all together it will be making 100+ hp more than stock and I'm assuming the early 2000s mopar trans is going to be an issue. any ideas?

Eh, not really. If you're rebuilding the NAG1, there are improvements you can make, such as upgraded clutch material, that will give you all the torque capability you could ever need. But if the trans is in good shape right now, I think I'd just replace the two "C" solenoids with AMG blue tops, do a complete fluid & filter change with a good synthetic ATF, upgrade to a Severe Duty I radiator, and call it a day.
