Wowzer! Just got my new SRT-8 and I am loving it! I didn't realize how much fun this car can be. Just got the windows tinted and changed out the grill. I was a little unsure about the mesh grill at first but then my friends at CarToyz powder coated the mesh grill black and I said, bingo ringo, that's it. I think it gives a pretty mean look.

Very Nice, rgmonkey! Very distinctive. I have some plans for my SRT8 also. Only had mine for 4 days. So I got some mods coming. Keep up the mods!

BTW, this might be a silly question, but, is there a worry about air flow for the SRT-8 in changing out the grille....or does the mesh grille allow just as much as stock? I haven't heard about problems with the C, but the 8 might be different air demands....

I've been kinda leary of changing the grille for the same reason. I know the 8 runs hotter than the C and was afraid to go with anything that would restrict airflow. It really does look pretty sweet though!!!!!! Awesome look!!

It is really nice to see it for real rather than a photoshop. The photoshops were good, but the actual look makes it even better. Didn't know CarToyz did powdercoating. What is the make/model of the grill that you modded?

The black out grill looks great.

For those worried about airflow. The stock 300 grill is not designed to manipulate air flow in any way. It is purely aesthetic. There is no technology or wind tunnel enhancement built-in or designed into the 300 grill whatsoever.

My SRT8 is in the shop as we speek, and I bought a stull mesh grill online and I am having it painted the same color as the car (black) and leaving the chrome around the outer edge. I am also taking off the side molding emblems and the srt emblem in the back. Also smoking the rear taillights black and the side orange blinkers black too. Last but not least I am painting the whole side mirrors the same color as the car and the window sills too. Can't wait to get the car back. Should have it by this weekend. When I get it I will post pictures so everybody can check it out.
