If you don't like the look of the modded bracket, let me know cuz you have a couple options. You can either get fascia fixed by body shop or get professional color matched bolt plugs. Me personally I didn't like the way the stock bracket fit after trying to mod it. Either way good luck.

You know, come to think of it. I could just get some plugs and paint them body color to plug the holes. They won't show anyway behind the bracket. Thanks for the tip.

Its a good bit of work, but I'm missing the point. If youre in a state where you have to have a plate, why would you need to detach it?

thats ok, & obviously your car/your say goes....but being as how the plate is on permaently, why would any holes in it be an issue? i.e when do you take it off to see them?

Say in a couple of years I decide to get a newer model. The person that buys it is from a state that does not use a front plate. This way there would be no holes.

I just recently upgraded my grill and was trying to find a solution for the factory bracket covering up some of the grill. I didn't like the option of drilling a second set of hole to move down the grill. So I came up with this clamp on idea. The bracket is made from powder coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware.
