I’m looking to get a newer AWD 300S/ C (15+) and swap my 5.7 into it OR AWD & ZF swap my current 11-14 C. How difficult of a swap would it be if it’s even possible? Either direction is fine as long as i can end up w/ a V8/AWD/ 8 speed car. Any/ all input is greatly appreciated.

If you figure it out how to put together a V8/8Speed/AWD in a 300 I'd love to know as well.

I can tell you that you'll almost certainly need to start with an AWD car. The floor of an AWD is different from a RWD.

What you're looking to do is practically impossible. Not only the mechanics, engine, tranny and transfer case but the PCM as well. It would be a nightmare to get everything to work. Did Chrysler ever make a 5.7L AWD with an 8 speed? I don't think so. You'll never get it to work.

They're three separate systems though. The engine, transmission, and AWD are separate computer modules and they use the same body computer for everything. Need only add the 8 speed to 5.7 AWD system.

The biggest difficulty to my mind is physical. Mating the transfer case to the 8 speed, I suspect with the right parts it can be done but I don't know those parts. And then fitting it all under the floor of the car as the 8 speed is longer.

I've searched around and I can't find a single post or thread about anyone who has successfully swapped out a Nag 1 5 speed tranny for a ZF 8 speed. Much less to an AWD 8 speed. The obstacles are nearly insurmountable. Even if you somehow managed to get all the parts to mate up you'd have wasted your time and money because the Control Modules won't work. Tranny swaps have been talking about for years here but as far as I can tell, nobody has been able to pull it off. Save yourself the time, money and aggravation. It doesn't work.
