In reading the NaviPlus sage, beginning last month and through today, I urge the forum's ownership to cancel the sponsorship immediately.

Even giving NaviPlus the benefit of assuming all allegations are false, the reponses to the issue are untimely, unprofessional, and suggest a business that is not one with whom this board should be associated.

The relationship with Naviplus can only hurt the potential goodwill toward other sponsors such as Zeckhausen Racing, Elite 22, Wyckoff Chrysler, etc.

I post this as a 2-sided petition. Vote to remove Naviplus - or to leave Naviplus alone.

But vote.

Well.... I vote to have them removed for the way they responded.

BUT.... part of me wonders if they responded the way they did due to the particular customer's method of handling the situation. I hate to say it, but this guy has been a flip flop with this thing from the begining. His emotions have got the best of him and he has made himself ripe for the situation.

In any case, NAVIplus should never have acted in the manner they did. Poor way to run a business in my opinion!

One person, one complaint and I've only heard from one side.

But I've seen other post commending Navplus. Let's be fair.
Have you read this thread?

http://www.300cforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6304

Now, let's for argument's sake, assume that the forum member is off base.

After reading Naviplus' comments and responses, is this still a company you would do business with and recommend to others?

Are you asking a rhetorical question or do you want me to answer?

I've read the thread. It's the ONE complaint I've seen.

No, I wouldn't buy from NAVPLUS, but only because I don't want that product. If that was what I absolutely wanted, maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't.

They helped sponsored this site so people like me could have a place to get info on our cars. They should be thanked for that at least.

I'm only advocating fairness.

It only take one.

Like NR said, it was the response.

If you read the whole thread many of us said that while '23 might not have handled the situation the way some of us would the fact the naviminus instead of sending a new unit per thier warranty blamed UPS and then '23.

Like I said in another thread Navi had the chance to be the 'bigger' in this situation instead they turned the majority of us against them as a business.

In the long wrong the owners of our great fourm will not have to 'ban' navi. Navi will end up leaving on their own! I will say the sooner......

As of this post there are 23 total votes.

21 members, representing 9,503 posts vote to dump the vendor.
2 members, representing 14 posts, vote to leave the vendor alone.

If the rules are one member, one vote, then it's a landslide.
If there is any consideration to the people who actually support this forum by making it thrive (no posts = no forum) then the results are already laughable.

There is no way I'd do any business with Navi based on the rep they've acquired here.

Having said that, I think we need to remind ourselves that "we" do not own this forum or board (although without us, it's not of any comercial value really) - it's a business (like any other) which controls it's advertisers. Though I think Navi is wrong, I do not believe that I have the right to impose my judgement on the owners of this board. We can, however vote with our pockets (and that truely is the American way).

Here is what I suggest we do...

#1. Let's back off any "demands" from the board owners here. It's their right to sell advertising and take money to help defray the cost of this board.
#2. Lets all agree that we will never again do any business with NaviPlus - EVER!
#3. Wait... If Navi gets no business from this board, they will pull their ad $ from it. No business throws away $.

Sorry if you disagree, but $ is power and it speaks the loudest. I think it wrong to impose any judgement that negatively impacts the ownership here (since they really are a free service to us). But I would love to see the ownership take a higher moral ground also, and get rid of Navi without our having to ask for it - it would be the right thing to do in my opinion, and would be my course of action if I were the principle.
Either way, Navi will go... it's only a matter of time and how.

I agree to a point with jhelmuth.

But, what about the poor soul who joins next week after all these posts go down a page or two and still sees the Naviplus logo as a supporting vendor and in good faith order and gets ripped off! I believe the forum owners should look out for their real bread and butter and that's the members! As far as I can tell all the other vendors are great to do business with so one rotten apple can't cost the owners too much. In the future there needs to be an out clause in the vendor contract if there isn't already. If they rip off members contract terminated immediatly!!!!

jhelmuth - I agree, kindof.

I personally am not trying to make any "demand." You are right, it's up the the forum's owners to make that decision. All I'm trying to do is to consolidate the opinions of many board members so they can be heard as a group and the ownership can make an informed decision.

Note that I did not post any suggestion such as "let's quit the forum" or "let's move to another forum" or "let's stop posting until our demand is met" or any other variant of "Do it my way or I'll pick up my ball and go home."

A lack of business for Naviplus is actually a slow way to make a difference. Pulling their sponsorship is a quick way.

Regardless, I personally have not, and will not make any "demands" of the ownership. I would like to make our voices heard though.

Thank you for your patience.

(P.S. I just re-read the title of this thread, and admit that I wrote "must" in the title. I can see how this could be construed as a demand. That was not my intention. I believe the choices listed on the poll are more reflective of my intent. Thank you for your understanding.)

I think been ripped off for $1500 is enough to justify Naviplus been removed from this site. Myself and many others have given money to help this forum and even though it might not be as much as what the vendors are paying it sure does add up. I vote for Naviplus to be removed, they're other companies that are more then willing to sponser this forum and we don't need a company that has ripped of a member for $1500.

I have voted against NaviPlus. Although I, personally, have never dealt with them, their level of continued unprofessional responses is astonishing.
