Well I Am A Born And Raised Mustang Guy
I Have A 2003 Cobra And An E 55 But I Am Considering Ridding Myself Of That Over Priced E And Getting A Magnum Srt8 6.1l And It Seems That The Magnum Has The Same Motor As The 300 C
My Questions Are

1 Headers?
2 X Pipe?
3 Dyno Tunning?
4 Catback?
5 Supercharger?
6 Nitrous?

7 If So Who Makes Them?
8 Has Anyone Done It?

You are in the right place. There are cat abcks and superchargers available. There is a supercharged SRT8 (jketron) probably pushing 600hp by now out there. Do some reading in here and plenty of guys will lead you in the right direction. If your in So Cal or want to come out Oct 15 we are having a Meet and Greet withh Approx. a 100 cars. here is the link with the details.

All but tunning is/has been done. As a Ford guy owning a Chrysler I can vouch for the SRT-8 at least. I have a 67' Mustang Fastback in the garage pushing over 500 HP and a 94' Conv. Mustang still. I can say that I am VERY happy with my SRT-8. I'm sold and have owned 6 Mustangs, and 4 other Fords.

You can do loads with these cars

More has been tried with the SRT8. But no matter what, you'll get great advice, research and tips/pics here.

Hey Courious,
Welcome to the boards. You've happened upon a great ride...

These cars sell themselves - as a Cobra owner, you have power, and unlimited mods with your ride (I'm pretty familiar with the Mustangs and Cobra's - see sig) - if you havn't already, go drive one - you'll be a buyer. As these cars get more popular - I'm sure the code will be broken - and from there, the aftermarket will follow.

Until then though...not alot you can do other than a high 12 second quarter in a 4 door. :smoker:

The question is what year is your E55? If it's new then keep it. I wouldn't buy a new one knowing I can have my SRT much cheaper but if I already had an E55 I'd keep it and enjoy it. And probably call Brabus for some more juice.

Nov 05 R&T, Magnum SRT8 0-60 5.2 seconds, not exactly the 4.5 -4.7 many have reported. Sounds very similar to the initial 5.3 for the 300C and all subsequent tests report 5.8-6.3.

IMO, if you have an E55AMG, you can do no better.

for pure speed and torue, you're right..........but why is the styling of the E series so boring??? The CL ans SL look incredible, but the E leaves a bit to be desired. For the price of the E you could buy an SRT8, throw in a stroker motor and put $25,000 in the bank.......and you've have one "pissed off" fast SRT8 that would be a true AMG killer

The twin Turbo option should be ready sometime early next year.....600-650rwhp and STILL about $15,000 cheaper than the E.........
...........just something to think about

welcome aboard!!!

J, I think you forget the E55 is already forced induction....

Therefore....

mod for mod, actually the SUPERCHARGED E comes out on top....Bore out the blower, add a pulley, exhaust, and tune, you're talking about the same 600-650RWHP for 1/10th the cost of a turbo upgrade on an SRT-8.

Just something to think about. ;)

Granted, the E55 is still more expensive but I'd trust the internals on a motor MADE to with forced induction than one that was not. If you put $25k into an SRT-8 vs. the $3k it would take to get the same HP, then the prices are almost the same. ;)

you actually wouldn't be using the 6.1L motor at all. The twin-turbo upgrade is being based around the 392 Stroker.......i'd definately trust it's internals. plus you look cooler getiing there in an SRT8 IMO

Remember he already has an E55, not the same as buy an SRT8 and pocket the difference. Would you sell the E55 and get an SRT? I agree the CLS is stunning and the E class is Toyota safe in the way of styling.

and that's what I just don't get. Don't get me wrong......the E series is a very cool car, but the rest of the MB lineup just looks better IMO. I guess the E is just the ultimate sleeper
