Just came from the Napa store near by. They did not have any information on the type of oil filter I need for my 300C. I informed the person behide the counter that another store has a STP Filter S16 listed for it. Napa guy crossed referenced and gave me a Napa Gold filter. Can anyone tell me the model # for the Napa Gold Filter just to make sure. Also, I'll be using Mobil 1 5w-20 and wanted Mobil 1 oil filter but it's not listed but I read on this forum that Napa oil filter is pretty good, so I accepted it.

Napa Gold and Silver are made by Wix and are excellent. I don't have the Napa part # but I THINK it is the same filter that is in the Hemi Ram, 300M and several others. There is an oil change thread that has detailed info here , I have done two changes myself and will be due in another 300 miles, I plan to go with either Napa or M1.

You might also seriously consider magnets for superior filtration here

I figured out the Filtermag size last summer by crossing the filter at the dealer, just call the dealer in the AM and see if the 300 filter is the same as an 04 Ram or Jeep which will be listed at Napa or Mobil. Once you know any other model that has the same filter as the 300 then you can use that model for the correct filter.

The filter is the same as most other current Chryslers. While I say most, theLiberty for some reason has a different one.

You can look up a Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, etc.

I know the oil filter is the same as the one for my 2000 Grand Cherokee V8 and most mopars with a V8 use this same filter. The Napa Gold oil filter is FIL1085.
