The most important issue is the potential for a dropped valve seat.
There isn't much you can do to prevent it, other than to keep your cooling system in good condition and avoid shutting off the engine when it's too hot.
My suggestion is to install a 195° thermostat and use a handheld tuner to lower your fan temps about 10° across the board.
Make sure your cooling system is filled with a clean, fresh 50/50 mix of HOAT coolant and distilled water.
Keep on eye on your engine temps. If they get too high, say from idling in traffic with the A/C on, make sure you allow it to cool off before shutdown.
