Just wanted to post some pics of the rear wing I painted. I am sure this is nothing special, and many people have done this, but I also wanted to so you some pics of the finish below the chrome. If you are doing a more brushed look you might want to consider taking the chrome off! It looks pretty good with the brushed look!

I used a 400 grit sand paper, and I also then went with a dark red scotch bright from Autozone.

Anyway, here are some pics, and I will post one tomorrow during the day when It gets put on the car.

Uh what? LOL

I am not a fan of the cheap plastic fake chrome... Now, the new color is the dark grey, like my roof, here is the roof...

I am pretty excited about my next post coming soon... I have the sonar brake lights, and I am MODDING them a lil...

How did you remove the rear wing to paint it? Heat gun?

Thank you guys!

removing the wing did not need a heat gun, although you could.

You can use fishing line easily to cut the tape behind it... Just make sure you pullit forward toward the wing, so whatever you use doesnt scrape against the trunk. It comes off pretty easily.
