Hi I have bought some new old stock SRT8 alloy wheels I want to change the colour to a dark silver what I would like to know is they corrode as standard is this due to the paint being to thin or bad addition if its just thin then would it be ok to key them up & spray & lacquer them, or have them stripped back to bare alloy.

Strip 'em, Ian, as that thin film of clear is starting to separate from the wheel and it you paint over it, it will just rise up under your new paint.
