Painting the grill

I was thinking about painting the grill black...but not all of it. I was thinking of painting the gray waffle pattern black and leaving the chrome to match the car.
Does anyone have pics of this done to see what it looks like before hand???

Do you have to take the grill off to do it or just trust your paint man not to **** it up?:biggrin:

Here is just one link I found using the search engine. CLICK HERE I would not paint the grill while still mounted on the car. It is easy to remove the front facia, so I would remove the grill then paint..

had mine done by Air22,,,, went without a hitch,,, and looks awsome,,, also tinted the lights in the rear,,, which makes a huge difference,,,, good luck with your mods,, hope the pic comes out,,

I masked the chrome portion of the bars and rattle-can painted the aluminum-looking portion of the bars flat black, all while the grill was on the car:

Subsequently I put in an E&G mesh grill.
