Went down to take a look at a SRT 8 they had at the local dealer waiting for delivery to a customer. This one had the exact options I wanted so my sales person called me to take a look at it. It was an 06 with BA7, srt 1 an 2 groups, uconnect, and REAR DVD! Here is the pic:

Nice pic, Vigg. The price on my build sheet says this option is $1,190 CDN (code XRV). Doesn't look too bad, although I think DVDs mounted in the headrests look better. Anyone know the screen size? It looks huge in the picture, but that could be the camera angle....

On a side note, with my rear DVD as ordered, I'd gladly pay that much and more for the kicker instead (too bad I can't trade - swap an option for an option.... ). BTW, Vigg, did you say that the '06 you saw came with BA7? I thought '06s only came with either BA6 or the 13 speaker kicker....It would be great if they do!

You are correct. BA7 is no more in the SRT 8, it is BA6 or optional Kicker.

I'm waiting for the availability of this particular unit so that it can be ordered, received, and then installed by my Chrysler dealer as a 'retro-fit' into my car.

7 inches diagonal. Beats the heck out of the hanging bag for the portable. But since the portable and bag together were $200, it should.

Man,those movies got to sound killer with the kicker system installed!! I'm glad I'm waiting to get exactly what I want!!! I also love the DVD just where it is, so no passerbys can see it,its nice and secluded!!I don't like them in the headrest,where everyone can see going by!!

I put the 7" screens in the headrests with a DVD player in the middle console. It was around $1500 installed, I am very happy with the finished installation.

Does that screen fold down flat in front of the entire entertainment unit...it appears as if it's arms are capable of pivoting?

Yes, it folds down flat into the center console, under the arm rest.

this option is awsome. It completely hides away when not in use. And its not hanging from the ceiling which I hate.

Just spent since Teus evening making this run. Wife, I, and the 7 yo son and 10 yo daughter in the SRT-4 with hanging bag DVD player.

Tesuday nite Md - lower VA.
Wed - VA to mid KY
Fri - KY to Indy
Sat - Indy to MD, still winding down

If you EVER travel with kids, DVD in the rear is PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!! My SRT-8 Charger WILL have this

Yes. DVD players for kids are a gift for the kid and yourself.

"Also if the power goes out in the house you can always watch a DVD in the car."

I use that line all the time when selling Caravans.

Did you have a chance to sit in the backseat and get a feel for what it would be like to watch it? Might be kind of hard on the neck?
