Attempted to charge my cell phone with car charger last night and had no power coming from either the in-dash outlet or the one inside the armrest console. Replaced a blown 20amp fuse (#9 in the trunk) and still don't have any juice coming from either outlet. Is there another fuse or circuit that I need to check? I have plugged in other items including the cigar lighter and no power is coming through.

"The ashtray outlet is fuse #18 in the trunk fusebox. There are 2 ways to put that fuse in. If you put the fuse towards the front of the car, the outlet has power all the time. Put it towards the back of the car and the ignition will control power. Look in the box and you'll see what I mean. But it is #18!"

# 9 Fuse?

Maybe you need to figure out why the # 9 fuse blew in the first place- could be something else causing these fuses to blow- something which may need attention frst rather than just the replacement of cigarette lighter fuses..my 2 bits.

Thanks for that info - I definitely want to make my Fuse 18 give power all the time.

Someone suggested checking Fuse 9 too. Does that control the socket inside the armrest?

Yes, #9 is the fuse for the Console Box outlet fuse. As pointed out before, it is powered all the time. Did you blow 18 and 9?

I ****ing blew both fuses. I replaced both fuses and I blew both fuses again when I tested my iphone charger. I think its the charger that blew the fuses. I'll have to do another test.
