I have discovered a possible problem with the engine cover that I would like to share.
At a cruise-in this last weekend. I took the 300C and as is my habit, I removed the engine cover and set it aside so people could see the real deal instead of a sheet of plastic.
When putting it back on, an observant friend noticed that if you put on the cover wrong, a post that supports the front of the cover can grab and dig into the wire that goes to the throttle body. The wire on my car had been punched in quite a bit, but the cover and wires were not torn or worn through.
So when putting the cover on, look right at the front center and be sure not to pinch that wire with the tab sticking down on the engine cover.
This could have been a real problem down the road.
