Hi Guys,

does anybody know how to change the kind of rolling in the presets of the FM-channels ( i know it's difficult)

For example : when you're trying to search a FM-station it goes up to 101.01, 101.03, 101.05 ???

Can I change it to 101.00, 101.01, 101.02, 101.03 ???

please help me or reply

tnx guys :pat:

Do you mean 101.1, 101.3, 101.5, etc.?

Regardless, the answer is the same: there are no center frequencies at the
.2, .4, .6, .8, and .0 megahertz increments. If there were there would be sideband interference problems and clear stereo FM could not exist.

I think you would have to purchase a unit from another country or
region.

I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like you would need a unit built
for FM use in Japan, for example.

Does the FM scroll like that in Europe?

Sorry, I jumped the gun and totally misread the question. The units for use in the other markets may only count 101.2, 101.4, etc, but not in tenths.

I've never heard of it being changed. I think you have to get
a unit that is setup to handle the FM bands in your market.

You know what? It never occurred to me before, but it would seem
that the manufacturer would not be smart making completely separate
units for different markets.

In modern times, they've built the capability into most units and there
is some sort of switch.

Since the REC is CAN-BUS compatible, maybe the answer is to
get your system "flashed" so that your FM tuner does use .0 .2 etc.
Note that you will then not be able to tune in .1 .3 .5.

And that may have to be done either at a Chrysler dealer or via
someone who has a starscan.

And all of the above would assume that the FM band is part of the
options changeable via starscan.

If anyone on this forum is familiar with starscan, can they reply
with whether the FM setting is an option?
