So what's the problem? If you have a brand new 300C, your warranty would cover that. What do you need money for and what's this have to do with your neighbour? Your post is not very clear.

Look into transferring the warranty to your name. You have 30 days from time of purchase if you are the second owner of the car. See a dealer, get the warranty transferred (there is a fee--$150 if memory serves), then have the steering mechanism checked out, under warranty, at any dealership.

Hemee,
As much as I want to offer my 2 cents, I think I better keep my mouth shut.
But I have that itch if you know what I'm saying. I'll behave myself

Is it just me, or does anyone else suspect this is a crank post? The more I read the posters two comments, I can't help but think that the English is perfect in some areas, including grammar, spelling, usage of proper tense & punctuation, and intentionally bad in other areas. Am I too cynical, or do others think likewise? I'm not sure if this is what the Colonel was thinking, but I'd sure be interested in knowing. Is this destined to be one for the flag of BS...who knows? :bs2:

Wait a second....The factory warranty is fully transferrable and nothing is needed to be done, at least was needed to be done to any car I've ever bought under factory warranty....Yes, extended warranties may not even BE transferred it depends on the warranty I guess.

Regardless, dude with the moose knuckle...TAKE IT IN! There's no way to be sure but I'm guessing you should be fine. The steering knuckle is a big chunk of steel, I don't see how it could just fail.

Why the heck didn't he get it taken care of before he sold it to you?

Rambit, I sort of noticed that same thing. Like the way he spelled neighbor. Who only know's?
Hemee, I too will try to behave myself.
Well he spelled it the American way (bor) then the Canadian way (bour) afterwards. Like Linda says, who really cares. It was just an observation.

It is that bolt just above your front wheel. It is what turns the wheel when you turn the steering wheel. Anyone running 22" has to check this to ensure good clearance between the tire and the bottom of the steering knuckle bolt. It the tire heats up at speed, expands and touches the bolt - :wizard:

well, let's just say that things could get ugly . . .

Some questions about 300C in CA!!!

Just as I posted my first thread here, I'm a guy with no idea about the vehicle. So, I have found it bore me since I came to CA four monthes ago. My neighbor, as well as my friend, sold me a second hand 300C with some problems of the corner module (also its knuckle, I had referred). So, Well, here some questions as follow:
1. What should I do if my car were still in the warranty period?
2. Where should I find the shop, company or something else it could fix this kind of problem?(Now, I live in Victoria, BC)
3. For my curiosity, Whether the most 300C cars are manufacture in CA or not?If I planned to go to another country, can I still find a compatible part?
Lol, I hope some, ya, guys could some good advice.

To Be honest I'm not sure I understand all of your questions; but
(1) any 300C should still be under warranty (3 years) unless it has over 36,000 miles on it - - kind of unlikely but possible I guess
(2) still not sure exactly what's broken....( corner module??? knuckle??) but any Chrysler dealer can perform warranty work. Go to chrysler.com or just look in the newspaper or telephone directory
(3) All 300's are build in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. not in CA.

Thanks kevenj....As simle minded as some of these questions were, I appreciate the fact that you just answered them instead of bashing them like others tend to do from time to time.....I am kind of curious though - How in the world did the new C owner find his way to this forum and not the chrysler web site? .....OOOPs, I'm a hypocrite :nutkick:

Check post #4, Jorad. You were given your answer, in full, within a few hours of your initial post. .;)

It is not responsible forum behavior to post a question, disappear for months, then reappear asking essentially the same question without having taken time to read the responses to your initial query. Just a thought. :)

Gentlemen, please remember we have members and guests from all over the world and English may not be their first language, which I believe is the issue at work here. I merged the 2 threads last night so he could review the earlier replies without much effort. Negative responses detract from the helpful ones and discourage less experienced members from joining in or initiating discussions... just a thought
