Almost all of you show "Options: All". Do you all really have the rear TV/DVD option as well? When we got the 300 for my wife, it seemed hardly any of them actually had this option (yes, it's on the window sticker). Just curious.?.?

Most people initially responded with 2005 SRT-8s. DVD was not available. Hence "all" options, did not included DVD.
Ahhh, ok, I see. That brings up another question: the Magnum SRT-8 was only available as an '06, correct? For some reason I though the 300C SRT-8 was actually called an '06 when it came out. Didn't realize it started in '05. Thanks!

Depending on the source you use, either 220 or 225 2005 300C SRT-8's were built. 35 went to Canada, leaving about 190 for the U.S. Another 35 (approx.) went to testing &/or DCX execs, leaving about 155 for the general public in the U.S. Obviously, the 05 is a very rare car. However, many of the 05 owners are regulars here.

220(225?) 05's. I'm pretty sure needforspeed reported 220 05's.
221 and up was an 06' and have build dates from the beginning of April on

A factory insider steadfastly maintains they built 225. needforspeed reports 220, but adds the disclaimer that this represents most, but not necessarily all, SRT-8's built. Either way, I'll bet there are more than 150 Lambo Galardo's and Ferrari (any model but Enzo) out there in a year.

Actually it was ResumeSpeed. ;) Need4speed it the nutcase running 12.6's on spray. :D

Personally I didn't list "all options" I don't think....Maybe I did....anyway, it's all about semantics really because when I got my SRT-8 I DID in fact have every option they had available.....It just so happens they didn't have the Kicker or rear DVD available as an option.

...Personally I would have got the kicker, but not the rear DVD. I don't have kids and I don't need no gold brickers using my ride as their living room. :D

Hey now .... I resent that! :)

I am the proud owner of 1 of 225 300c SRT-8's .... I still love it ... even with the little issues ....

Plan on busting a really low 12 here shortly ... who knows ... maybe even an 11 .... he he he ... that would be funny ... but maybe to wishful thinking ....

:)

Oh, I'm sure you can do it, but you will have to be VERY funny about it. :wink1:

11's is definitely attainable...and not with more power necessarily, just more traction, but I don't need to tell you that.

...Any ideas on what you might do if they don't make any drag tires in rim sizes to fit our brakes?????

I have recently CONFIRMED 252 total builds for the 2005 SRT8 model year:

USA: 209 (including 52 test/exec models)

Canada: 43 (including 8 test/exec models)

A few of the test/exec models have been sold to the public, including one now being offered for sale that was built last December...

Ok ... I stand corrected ... 1 of 252 ... still not to bad .... especially since I have one of 209 in the USA ... and 52 of them were "test/exec" models ... :)

Yes, I believe traction to be the biggest hurdle .... I think with the 18's that I have with the 265/40/18 drag radial, I might see some good sub 2.0 60 ft times ... I'd like to see some 1.6's or 1.7's .. hey, if they can get a 1.8 out of an all season tire in texas ... who knows ....

Otherwise, I'll have to have some 18's custom made next year .. hopefully all the tire manufacturers will have more options for drag radials by then ..... then maybe I can fit a 285 or 295 on an 18" x 9.5 or 10" rim .... and still clear the rear fenders ....

I'm impressed by the accuracy. Now how many were Silver and how many were Black?
