not sure if this has been discussed before, but what parts are needed for the auto up/down feature to work like the fronts? I assume it is not a simple swap of another set of front switches to the rear positions, huh?

You will need to buy a different car if you want that feature...lol.

Don't be so sure. The former www.bergwerks.com (now bankrupt, but the website is still up with a contact to the owner to buy the domain) made a kit to retrofit one touch windows to the W126 Mercedes (a car made between 1979 and 1991 which never had any one touch windows). They might be the person to contact because IIRC they still had some of those kits on the shelves, or at the very least they might know where to get the contact strips you need to put in the tops of the windows.

It's been my understanding that the auto up/down feature IS in the switches. So one would think that it could be done with just the change of the switches.

I've even heard rumors that at one time cars didn't even have power windows! Supposedly they had some sort of primitive mechanism that you actually had to crank all the way up or down manually. I can't believe this is actually true though, i think it has to be an urban legend.

Some of those foreign makers had cars with windows on hinges. It was either open or closed.

Back windos

This can be done, I had it done in my 300 and did not have to change frount switchs. Call v1motorsports 480-663-0900 Tell them that Richard had you call with the black chrysler 300 and you would like to get parts for auto roll up for back windows :wave:

Alarm for windows

Do you have a alarm? You do need the alarm it is part of it, but you have one touch up and down in the car for back windows. And the alarm two way pad will roll up all windows when you arm it. The cost of alarm and labor will run you around $850.00. For this car you need to find somone who knows this car very well. Dont cheep out on alarm it is worth every cent.

Thanks for the info, but I was hoping for jsut modifying the stock stuff so I can push down or pull up on all four switches fromt eh driver's door and the windows take care of themselves.
