If you look at the very lower right of your Navigation/audio head union, you will see words that say REC fairly small. Anyone know what that is referring to?

Right under the Tune nob and to the left a hair is where I read the word REC.

Actually noticed its on the front lower right of the Navigation Manual as well. Hmmm.

its the alpine model #. Referred to as REC. Previous designations were RB4 RB1 etc etc....

I figured out it was a model code before I bought mine from bob05RT, I saw one on ebay and first thought it was "reconditioned"

That explains it. Here I thought maybe there was a way to Record Voice Memo's like my coworkers Caddy CTS does.
