Received my safety recall notice on the "Battery cable bulkhead stud fasteners" yesterday in the snailmail. It identifies you and your car by name and the last 8 digits of the VIN; provides a recall code of "D28" in this case. It also includes a prepaid post card to be completed and mailed in to DC for verification as to whether or not the car needed the tightening fix. Failure to tighten the fasteners <may> cause an instrument panel fire.Mikeyjohn said:You will be notified if your car is in recall.

Dunno yet, but the ground strap in the engine compartment is tied to the right fender well and could be the problem. The term "bulkhead" is confusing me.
