Remote start...anyone have recent info...

on any changes to the MOPAR unit correcting some of the 'problems' I have read about here? Just curious to see if they released or plan on releasing an updated version. I would like to get something before the heat of a TX summer starts down here so I can fire up the AC from a distance.

Thanks.

haven't heard yet.
auto lights and RKE battery is still the issue
I’ve had my system upgraded several months ago with a new factory chip set to fix the auto light issue. (Rresolved.) I have never experienced the RKE battery

Interesting....thanks!
i got an aftermarket one, and i have learned that when i autostart and just put the key in and go, that i have the ESP light go on, as well as having the auto lights not work.

HOWEVER if i stop the car when i get to it, then restart using the key, everything works fine. Some people may feel that it defeats the point of the autostart to have to start it once you get in, but I feel that the auto-start is more for starting the car for warming the engine or interior or coooling the interior, so having to restart is not a big deal.

I guess if you want it to work properly and not have to restart the car using the key then you had better wait, but if you can live with the restart it really shouldn't be a issue...
I have the Chrysler remote starter. Have the RKE code issue and tha auto headlight issue. I did not know they had a fix for it.

The other issue I had was it stopped working. Took it to the dealer and they had to fix a level sensor. I did not know it even had a level sensor. So I guess if you park on a steep incline it will not start. Thank God I live in Illinois, kinda flat around here.
My cars build date is Feb 21, '05. Would I have issues with the autostart as well?
I would have issues with having to restart the car.

Thanks,

The car is not the issue. It is the starting unit itself. According to one of our members PLMRob, (I'll find the link and post it here,) the newer Mopar remote starts should work correctly where the auto lights come on. I'd be sure and ask the dealer about this.
I have an aftermarket Viper, and when first installed, 2 lights on the dash stayed on.

415_300C, if you still have this problem your installer should check for a schematic update, and double check thier relays. Make them do it right!!!! It is possible!

Mine was fixed easily, your's can be too!
