Has anyone had the MOPAR remote starter installed yet? I am still waiting to hear from the dealer as to availability. As I understand it they have the starter but not the installation kit (harness, key hide etc.).
Any insight into MOPAR availability would be appreciated.

Hi, my 5 star dealer installed my remote start when i picked up my beauty last tuesday. It works a lot better than the one I had put in my Liberty. It was a little pricey. With installation it was like over $500 but it's done.

The system has some bugs. They say they are working on a redesign. If you use it at night and your headlights are in automatic, once you put the key in and turn it on you then go from park to any other gear your headlights go out and don't come on. What I now have to do is once I'm in gear turn the key to start and everything comes on. It doesn't grind the starter. They claim to be working on this.

The 300C is our 3rd car with a remote starter, and the ones on our other two cars (Ford's) are definitely more refined. I'm looking forward to the re-design to solve the problem upstate spoke of. My only beef (to date) is that there appears to be no way to activate the remote start while your car is running. I find this feature particulartly useful in the Winter when I like to leave my car (and the heater) running while I run into the local convenience store. My other concern is how well dealerships know how to install/adjust the system. When mine was installed, the Chrysler tech said it couldn't be programmed to run the car for more than 10 minutes before it cutoff. Yet, on the Wycoff Motors web site, they state the starter can be programmed to remain on for up to 15 minutes.

I had the MOPAR remote starter installed today at my 5 star. All went well, , so far it works like a charm. The install kit consist of 2 seperate part numbers one for the remote starter and the other for the harness, hide a key etc. Not sure if this is one of the first kits available but I did notice that when you "build a 300" remote starter is no longer offered.
