Hi,
If I buy an FCM from the junk yard with the same p/n do I've to reprogram it or can it be replaced as it is?
(I have a Chrysler 300c AWD and found a FCM from a Dodge Magnum that has the same p/n but other digit doesn't mach)

Thanks

The part number you want to match is the one on the top of the label.

As far as a re-flash, I don't know if one is needed or not. Maybe someone else can chime in here or you can always call your dealer.

Hey. I know it's hella years later but did you ever figure out your FCM issue? Where they interchangeable without a flash? Or would we have to take it to a dealer?

Hello,
I really don't remember, I think I replaced it without any problem but it didn't fix my problem, so I switched back to the original.

Thank you for the reply. What was the issue you are having? I'm currently experiencing no low beams at all. I have changed the bulbs ballast igniter cable checked all the fuses and relays I even switched multiple headlamp panels and nothing seems to be working. All.my light work as they should but the low beams dont want to function. I'm stuck on what to do next and only thing I can find is possibly changing the FCM.

Here was my problem why I thought it was the FCM

Hi,
I'm in a mess with my high beams - the bulbs light but throw no light on the road so I suspect 12v but low low wattage getting to the bulbs. Like you guys, I'm running out of options.

If your high beams are OK but no low beams it is unlikely the switch as I assume it powers both - does it?
Could it be the high beam/low beam steering column switch?

This is exactly what I am experiencing too at the moment. I have done everything. I am not getting any voltage to the connectors for the low beams. I found that with the switch on testing the relay with a multimeter I am not getting enough voltage to power on the low beams. First I lost my passenger side low beam and now my right. Just like you all the other lights work. However the low beams are now. Did you ever get this resolved?
