Help!! - Keep hitting Rev limiter in Manual mode

Need input here - My constant issue is....

Running in Drive mode Car shifts as follows:

1st - 2nd --- 5800 RPM
2nd - 3rd --- 6000 RPM

This does not allow for engine to reach peak HP and even more of a difference is that going into next gear it's that much further down in
"HP Band" - I know this is costing me at least .2 or .3 in the 1/4 mile

When I run in Manual mode - Even shifting early @5500 on the tach, the engine will hit the rev limiter before shifting into second & third.
This makes for a "crapshoot" trying to shift properly at high revs. Is this normal for the rest of the SRT8 owners out there, or do I need to have the "Tranny Computer" looked at??

LOL!! That is almost exactly what I joust posted in the GSM thread about their upcoming torque management mod. You have to shift early, just to get it to shift at the right time. It is literally a crapshoot to get the car to shift at exactly the right point.

my 2 cents...

I have been shifting at 5000rpm when in autostick...
and it will usually go higher on the rpm limit...
but that is the only way I have hit perfect shifts...
the worst is the big miss from 1st to 2nd if you don't get it right...
big time delay...
like the engine is saying bad shifter, bad shifter...
be nice to me...

Agreed!! Been there - done that to me too. It's too bad too. If I wanted a crapshoot I'd head to Vegas.

So does that mean the gsm torque management mod will correct this?
