For the longest time, I had my heart on the 22" TIS 07's, then I realized that no one has them in stock, and ebay wants to get rid of 4 for 1800 without tires.. I bought a base model 300.. So i dont have the nice v8 to satisfy my crave for a little speed every now and then.. Knowing that I can buy an lt1 z28 for about the price of those rims + tires, I decided to just skip out and buy some ebay knock offs.

I found a set of 22s I liked, they claimed it fits a 300M, but I dont know if all the years are similar or what.. And im afraid of all this control arm mumbu jumbo, especially afraid of ebaying rims and they dont fit.

What they offer was 114.3x5, I didnt check any other measurements, but can anyone give me a set that wont rub the bolt?

From what I heard, 114.3x5 9 or 9.5 with 265/35/22 will fit without problems. Can anyone confirm this? I know TIS makes their wheels specifically to fit perfectly, which are 115x5 right? Anywho, before I purchase $1000 rims, I'd just like an idea.

Does anyone know how much a set of 4 265/35/22 would cost? And what company tires should I be looking at?

"22x9.5" with a 5X114.3"

Wheels

Man get those damn wheels. I have both two sets of black wheels off ebay for my 300C and I have not had any problems with it. My tires are 265/35/22 perilli's. the offset is +15 and the wheels are 22 x 9.5. If the wheels that you are getting match that, then buy them. If you search ebay and lowrider magazine a little more you can get those same wheels for about $200 bucks cheaper. Hope this helps

Did you see the bolt pattern in the ad says? Are your rims 5X114.3 bolt pattern?

I guess thats anothier thing ive been confused about, is the base model 300 the 300m? or was that discontinued with the 2004 model?

And at this point I should be looking for 5x115, gotcha.. Not to sound dumb, but can someone explain what offset means? and whats the recommended ?

offset is how the tire and wheel will sit on the wheel well you have to have at least a +15 to +20 or a 22inch wheel will hit the front end suspension

by the way I am selling my 22 inch wheels and tires they are 5x115 and +15 ad look great email me [email protected] and I will send back some pics

Just to elaborate a bit more on what thedon said, the offset is where the wheel sits in the wheel-well. The lower the number the further it sits out. So a FWD offset of say +35mm would be set into the well too much.

Just for a little peace of mind, the rims I have coming are 114.3 with a +15mm offset, and I don't plan on having any sort of problems.

I saw it, thank you.. Good price, but atm, if im going to spend a lot it better be on a rim that suites me well hehe.

Would these tires work for 22s?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7980252663&category=66478&sspagename=WDVW

is there a difference between ANY 265/35/22 -- What about the width of the tire, is it always the same? sorry to sound new to it, I know jack about tires/rims and trying to soak in knowledge..

Well, the wheels having a different bolt pattern of course would pose a problem, but given the difference of .7mm (.027 inches) it's just so minimal. I'm no mechanic by any means, so someone correct me if I'm wrong: If we have a set of 114.3x5 wheels that fit on a 115x5 pattern, can't we assume that a 115x5 wheel would work fine with on 114.3x5 pattern, making either wheel the exact same??

It took me a long time to try and say what I wanted to say in my last post so I didn't catch this reply. ANYWAYS, these are the exact same tires I'm getting. In fact, I will PM you with the guys address. He has awesome customer service!!

On their website (Hankooks) they say the Rh06 are designed for the high-performance luxury SUV's, but they'll be fine. The tread rating (420 A A) is great! I was going between those and Nitto NT555's, which only have a 300 A A rating, and were also $55 more. Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

BFWIW, I have Nitto NT555's on my 20's on the 300M and I am pleased with them.

Lets put it this way. Is $.99 a $1.00? Its close but not quite. If the two measurements where the same then they would not make 2 different measurements. DO NOT GET 114.3, it is not correct. You risk the chance of having alot of problems and disatisfaction.

If you are going to spend all that money on wheels make sure you get the right fit. If it means that you have to wait a little more till you find the right one then let it be. You will be glad you waited in the long run.

Thank you for the mathematical facts. :fing26: Just kidding, lol.

Back to the matter at hand: I understand that $.99 is less than $1.00, but as I said before, if a 115 wheel can go on a 114.3, and a 114.3 wheel can go on a 115, aren't these wheels the exact same? I know for a fact that 115 wheels fit on my 300M as I've tried some on before. Coincidentally, those wheels were sold to an owner of a Dodge Intrepid (114.3) and has no problems??

well I figured my total would be around the 2400 range, so I went all out and bought a batch of TIS 07's with kumho 265/35/22s from buywheelstoday, should be here in a week and a half :p, it was a bit more than the 2400 total I was looking at, but at least I wouldnt have any regrets, and get the wheel I wanted this whole time.

114.3 and 115mm bolt pattern is so close, either will work. Vibration? Only if the tires aren't balanced.

NO the bolt patterns arent the same WHY would TIS make a 5x115 pattern if it doesnt matter come guys

it matters if you run a 5x114.3 you are taking the chance of problems like breaking a stud or the wheel vibrating I dont care what anyone says I had a set of 5x114.3 20's from les schwab and they shook like CRAZY so i sold them and onto the 22's with the 5x115 just do it to cover all your bases
