What are you guys seeing at the first start of the am. Mine shoots to 1900rpm almost instantly then settles to about 900-1100, then within a minute of driving idles at 650. Going to 1900 at first start is a strong argument for synthetic oil, I think of that everytime I cold start.

Mine settles down at about 1000 rpm as well, the inital jump up in rpm also happens, but that's pretty normal for any motor starting.

I live in MN and when it gets below double digits I plug the car in at night to help out.

Forgive me...
I just can't imagine living somewhere,of my own choice,
where the temperature goes into the -double digits.
I get cold at 40 degrees,I even have "winter shorts".
LOL..no offense meant-
Just my own opinion.

Hey Concerning Your Cold Start, The Hemi Is A Wonderful Thing But Does Not Like It When Your Gas Tank Goes Below A Quarter Tank You Get Condensation And This Builds Up And Can Cause It To Have Cold Starts As Well As Not Want To Start
I Always Fill It Up When I Reach A Half Tank
Maybe A Myth, But I Don't Want To Find Out The Cold Hard Start Way
Have A Great Day
