My McGard locking wheel nuts have got very rusty around the collar. I am currently soaking them in white vinegar to try and remove the rust but think I will end up needing to replace them.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to some good replacements? I bought an aftermarket set but the quality was not great as the chrome plating quickly chipped.

Many thanks.

I'd take a look at Gorilla Automotive's locking lug nuts that come in a kit called "The System". If you want polished chrome, the part number is 71643N.

Most of the parts store available locks can easily be defeated.
If you want to go fancy and remove all doubt, look at: rimgard, advanced wheel locks, and rimlox.
