what do you peoplez think about shaving the door handles..ofcourse this will be done by a professional..wonder what this would cost me and what it would look like? can anybody photoshop a bril blk..with shaved handles i know ill have to buy a alarm system to open doors so not counting that..any ideas? herbs. :smoker:

I had them shaved on my truck and would not do it again. My battery went out and I had to bust a window to get in. Also, I know of quite a few people who have gotten faulty solenoids and have installed them, then a day later had break some glass. :evil: Some put in a hidden backup latch, but the problem is that if someone finds it, they can get in with just a pull of a lever. I wouldn't do it, but it does look clean when done.

hey thanks for your opinion...i guss i never even thought of that..i guess that would really suck to loose power...almost have to carry a slim jim in your back pocket.. :wink1: ...guess ill pass on that1..was just a thought.. :biggrin:

This was a mod I was thinking about doing a while back (with suicides if anyone ever figured out the "right way" to pull it off. I would love to see someone do it. I actually have an alarm which will allow me to do it plus I know a guy who can get the alarm/kick plates/air compressor to work properly as well as a guy who does a lot of the shaved handles on show cars.
I dont think you need to have a show car to pull it off, the old muscle cars chevels, gto's have had this as a popular mod.
I would do a hidden overide latch somewhere as well b/c if you think about it.... unless you have a unreal stereo or travel with something very valuable inside, it's not like they are going to steal your car without the centry key. IF they happen to find the rescue release, they could only steal whats inside. My alarm has a hood lock so if they got into the car, they couldnt pop the hood anyway to get to the sirun or anything of the electrical system. Plus the alarm brain is hidden in the car..
I personally would love to see this done.

If I were to do it I'd have simeone like Ultimate Audio in Orlando do it. they just did my buddies 64 Continental ( shaved handles ) and his system works and looks great. I personally think it would look really good!!!!!
